Psychopharmacology

Psychotropic medications are used to treat mental health disorders. They treat many disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. These disorders can cause serious symptoms that interfere with daily activities and complicate interpersonal relationships. Psychotropic medications can provide a significant amount of relief for disabling symptoms and they can help people live happier lives. There are many options available, though sometimes finding the right type of medication can take time. Medication and cognitive behavioral therapy can be very beneficial in conjunction with each other.

The decision to consider a medication will never be risk free. However, you can expect to be provided with information about any recommendations for intended use, risks, benefits, and more serious side effects to be aware of. Many clients have stated their lives have been changed by medication and they wished they had tried it sooner.

Disclaimer: PCBH only medicates those 18 years and older
